Christ Ahnsahngong in the Bible

Q: Where is Christ Ahnsahnghong in the Bible?

A: To understand whether Christ Ahnsahnhong is written directly in the Bible, we must first know that Jesus’ name was not written in the Old Testament.

The Old Testament is the only part of the Bible that existed during the time of Jesus. When you examine it, no verse says “Jesus” will be the name of Christ. Even if it were written, we would not be convinced that a man was the Christ because his name was Jesus. The name “Jesus” itself was very common among the Jewish people (Col 4:11).

How could the disciples recognize Jesus as the Christ even though His name was not written in the Bible?

“Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Moses and the prophets did not write the name “Jesus” but rather wrote prophecies about Jesus’ deeds. Through the fulfillment of those prophecies, the disciples recognized Christ. Jesus reinforces this teaching Himself.

Jesus Testified About Himself

“‘These are the very Scriptures that testify about me’”

The Scriptures do not say “Jesus” verbatim but instead include all the things Christ would accomplish.

Jesus accomplished all of these Old Testament prophecies.

In the same way, we have to study the prophecies to find out what the Bible says the Second Coming Christ will do. This will allow us to receive Him when we see those prophecies fulfilled. The World Mission Society Church of God believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong as the Second Coming Christ because He fulfilled all the prophecies concerning Second Coming Christ. We invite you to join us for a Bible study and see all these prophecies for yourself!
