Many people who passed by the cleanup recognized the students for their hard work and dedication. They saw the students as future leaders of the community. Some thanked the volunteers for their efforts and took the opportunity to learn more about ASEZ STAR’s mission through informational panels.

Dylan Mena, an ASEZ STAR student volunteer, shared, “It felt amazing to be a part of this event because I got to help people and help the community to look better. It also felt good to shine the glory of God through this event.”

Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie also expressed his appreciation, saying, “I think it’s great when people from the community want to take care of the community, beautify the community and save the planet. I’m so happy to see so many young people out here today and hope this is a continuous relationship to do things together.”

This cleanup was part of the ASEZ STAR’s Green World Campaign, which encourages young people to get involved in improving their environment and making their communities better places to live.
